Nephthys was believed to have great power through her knowledge of sacred words and magical spells. She knew charms that could raise the dead and keep them from harm. She was appealed to as Mistress of the Gods, Lady of Life, Lady of Heaven, Mistress of the Two Lands, and Great Goddess.
